Ms. Shiua-Mei Hwang was qualified by YAMAHA Children Music Courses as an instructor in Taiwan and Hong Kong. After moving to Hong Kong in 1997, she had difficulty finding a suitable place and methodology for her children to learn Mandarin.  Therefore, after receiving her Beijing Normal University Mandarin Teacher Certificate and Putonghua Certificate, Ms. Hwang created a Mandarin Playgroup programme called Kids Land. 

 

Having been involved with pre-school education for more than 20 years, she realized that children begin to encounter emotional, social and physical challenges at very early stages of their lives. Ms. Hwang realized that the breathing techniques, self awareness and physical postures taught in Yoga can bring incredible value to children’s growth. Therefore, she decided to add children’s yoga to her curriculum. Ms. Hwang received her yoga teaching certification for Babies and Toddlers at Gecko Yoga in 2016. Ms. Hwang also received her AntiGravity Aerial Kids in 2016. 

 

During classes, Ms. Hwang will use some well known nursery songs and rhythms which she has created and translated into the lyrics in Mandarin. In addition to providing a medium for language education, our classes will increase your children’s body awareness, build up their self-esteem and concentration, and provide for general relaxation.
